ATTENTION: Fans, Friends, and Supporters of Huntsville Speedway
Due to The Storm Prediction Center’s forecast of an enhanced risk for severe weather on Saturday, April 14, 2018, Huntsville Speedway management has no choice but to cancel the racing event scheduled for Saturday night. There will be practice available at the track TONIGHT, Friday, April 13th, from 6PM to 9PM. Huntsville Speedway will return to action next Saturday night with the Neil Bonnett Memorial Event presented by Buster’s Bait and Tackle and Buster’s Pawn Shop featuring the Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, Mini Modifieds, Super Stock, Pure Stock, Hot Shots, and Buzz. Pit gates will open at 2PM, Practice at 3PM, Qualifying at 6PM, and Racing at 7PM.
Attention to the Huntsville Speedway Fans and Family! Due to the ongoing inclement weather and forecasted freezing temperatures and high winds, the Management of Huntsville Speedway has elected to reschedule the Neil Bonnett Memorial Event presented by Busters Pawn Shop to Saturday night, April 21st. The Speedway also suffered light damage during the high winds earlier this week for which inclement weather has prevented repair. We are excited to host such a prestigious event to honor the legacy of Neil Bonnett and want to provide an optimal experience for the Bonnett family, our fans, competitors, and sponsors. We look forward to a glorious night to honor Neil on April 21st.
Huntsville Speedway will return to action next Saturday night, April 14th with Late Models, STAR Supertrucks, Super Stocks, Mini Modifieds, Hot Shots, and Buzz. Pit gates will open at 2PM, grandstands at 5, with qualifying at 6PM and racing at 7PM.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Legendary Huntsville Speedway!
Good evening to all of the fans, drivers, sponsors, and friends of Huntsville Speedway. First and foremost, allow us to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the fans and drivers who came to the track Saturday night to produce one of the biggest season opening nights in Speedway history. We are deeply appreciative for all of your efforts and your attendance. It certainly looks like 2018 will be a season to remember. Now we move on to a more serious issue that resulted from Saturday night’s Late Model event. As you know, there was a collision just past the flagstand on lap 1 of the 50 lap Late Model feature between Edwin Gurley and Chris Whorton that resulted in damage to at least 6 race cars. Tempers flared and unfortunately were followed by a violent, physical altercation between two respected, veteran competitors.
