On a beautiful September evening at the foot of Green Mountain, a field of some of the finest Open Wheel Modified drivers anywhere took to the track at Huntsville Speedway in an event to honor one of Huntsville’s greatest living legends, the great Roy Cantrell in the inaugural Rapid Roy 100.
FAST TIME QUALIFYING
In qualifying, Billy Melvin (13.874) in the Late Models, Bradley Carter (13.688) in Open Wheel Modified, David Dean, Jr. (15.544) in the Super Stock, and Jeremy Davis (14.964) in the Mini Modified captured the Fast Time Qualifying Awards.

Alan Callaway Returns to Victory Lane in the Sportsman Division; Jason Plunkett, Jr., Wins Again in the Pure Stocks

FAST TIME QUALIFIER
In Qualifying, Bryce Carver (14.464) in the STAR Super Trucks, Henry Wade (14.770) in the Sportsman, Jerry Hendrixson, Jr. in the Pure Stock, and Phillip Waters (17.138) in the Renegades were the fast time award winners.
Rapid Roy 100 – September 16th. We will be selling Rapid Roy Stickers beginning on Saturday night. 1 for $3 or 2 for $5. All proceeds goes to Roy Cantrell.
Rapid Roy 100 T-Shirts will be on sale. $15 each – all proceeds will be going to Roy. Pre Sales of t-shirts could be as early as this weekend. They are sports grey and have the same type logo as the sticker.

FAST TIME QUALIFIERS
In qualifying, Ronnie Binkley (14.700) in the Baby Grands, Todd Cagle (15.447) in the Super Stock, John Thomas (13,881) in the Modified, and Billy Melvin (13.892) in the Late Models were the fast time qualifiers of the night.
In the 15-car field, Billy Melvin (13.892) in the number 145 captured the fast time award in the Open Wheel division, he rolled a three on inversion.

The STAR SuperTrucks, Sportsman, and Pure Stock drivers took center stage for the weekend’s racing action at Huntsville Speedway.
Fast time qualifier Jon Whitten rolled a 6 on the inversion putting the number 32 of Andrew Whittaker on the pole alongside the number 85 machine of Joe Davis. Davis took the lead on lap 1.
