Safety Rules
1. Apparel- See General Rules
All safety apparel must be worn while on the racing surface. This will be enforced for practice and race dates.
General rules apply.
1. Any stock 4 cylinder sedan, mini truck, and van or station wagon. 2 or 4 door allowed.
2. All glass must be removed.
3. Steel mesh over entire windshield (Lexan may be used). No lightweight wire (NO CHICKEN WIRE.)
4. All flammable material to be removed. Such as cloth, plastic, etc.
5. All doors, hood, and trunk must be secured during race. Doors are to be welded or chained shut. Must be able to open hood and the trunk. At least 2 hood pins are required.
6. 4-point roll cage is recommended in all vehicles. No front or rear kickers will be allowed. “H” bar will be allowed, but the driver side door must be welded with 3/16 metal plating, 4” past the door.
7. Roll cage must have steel plate welded to cage on driver’s side.
8. All engines must be stock for make and model of vehicle. Engines must remain completely stock and in stock position. You may discard unnecessary parts. Alternators must work, and remain in stock position.
9. All vehicles must maintain factory exhaust system and a muffler will be required. Exhaust can exit in the rear of the car or the side of the car behind the driver.
10. No altering of frame or suspension in anyway. NO spring rubbers. Springs may be cut or heated, NO aftermarket springs.
11. Street legal tires only. No racing tires allowed. No “50” series tires allowed. All four tires and wheels must be the same size and offset. Tires must have a rating of 300 or more. There is a twenty-five dollar buy out rule on each tire. The purchaser must provide the seller a tire to be able to load his or her car up. No racing wheels allowed.
12. Stock steel wheels only. Stock Aluminum wheels O.K.
13. No hulling of trunk hood or passenger door allowed. Weight penalty will be accessed.
14. Tires and wheels may not extend past fender. Fender must remain in stock position – No body shims allowed. No hulling under body skin.
15. Vehicles must be painted with a unique paint scheme. We would like to see wild and crazy paint schemes. The numbers must be 20” in height and on both sides and on the roof of the vehicle.
16. There will be a draw to determine starting order.
17. Race will be started from a complete stop. Race director may, on occasion, use a rolling start.
18. This is a beginner class. Anyone with extensive racing experience needs to enter the Pro Buzz class or other classes.
19. May run race fuel from Huntsville Speedway.
20. Must have minimum 2 pound fire extinguisher with a gauge and a quick release mounted securely in car within reach of driver while belted in car.
21. Must have quick release type window net. Window net must release from top. One mirror is allowed inside car.
22. Only 2 degree of camber allowed in front of wheels. (Not in rear)
23. Top 3 finishers from previous event will start in rear - regardless of draw. Any driver not present at previous event will start in the rear. Any driver not registered one hour prior to start of that day’s events will be placed in rear. Weight will be added to any dominant car with multiple wins. (more than 2)
24. Any driver whom in the opinion of the race director intentionally wrecks or “takes out” a fellow driver will be disqualified and possibly suspended for future events.
This division is intended for beginners and to be an affordable way of racing. No bending of the rules will be tolerated. Anyone deemed by officials to have broken or stretched these rules will be DQ’d from that event. If it’s not stock, it’s illegal!!
There will be a $1000 claim rule. Any driver may claim another competitors car IF they have raced a minimum of one half of the speedway's races in that class or are currently in the top ten of that class. Keep it affordable . If your car is claimed and you don't sell, the car will not be eligible to run in the class for the year. Claim does not include seat belts and fire extinguisher.
