Safety Rules

All safety apparel must be worn while on the racing surface. This will be enforced for practice and race dates.

This class will follow the Standard Buzz rules with the following exceptions:
Pro Buzz Driver Qualifications
1. New drivers must demonstrate ability to run competitively with this class. Top five drivers in Standard Buzz class are eligible; all others must demonstrate ability through a combination of lap times, experience, and capability of car.
2. Pro Buzz drivers cannot participate in any Standard Buzz races.
3. Any drivers in the top 5 may move up - any driver with more than 4 wins in the first half of the season MUST move up. Point system will start over for the second half of the season.
4. Buzz drivers (either class) running in the Hot Shot class on the same night must pay a $25 entry fee for that car.
5. Pro Buzz will join other classes in practice rotation.
6. All starts and re-starts will be double file rolling starts.
7. Any driver causing a caution will be placed in the rear.
8. The top three finishers of the race will start in the rear of the field the next race.
9. Any driver that did not compete the week prior will start in rear.
10. In order to maintain realistic competition, Huntsville Speedway reserves the right to add weight to individual (dominant - multiple wins) cars. This weight will be added right of center and bolted to the floor board inside the driver compartment.
11. Pro Buzz will be allowed the following:
Front wheel drive only
Racing Wheels 8” maximum width with a 3” maximum offset
Factory style headers (no tuners) $150 or less. Must have muffler – after market allowed.
Any front camber degree, no rear camber allowed
1” rub rail – round or square tubing
All windows are allowed to be Lexan. Front windshield 1/8” minimum, no vent windows, no mesh.
4” rear spoiler, or factory spoiler. Cannot be any wider than rear of car.
Cam gear
Any spring – must be same height and diameter - front to front – rear to rear –spring rubbers are also allowed
Battery box may be moved to drivers compartment if fully secured and covered, and must have a power on/off switch that located in the compartment
No 50 series tires are allowed/55 series OK. May use any 300 rated tire except DOT racing tires or Legend tires
No litre up grades on motors allowed – Motor and transmission must have been available for that make, model and year.
No lightweight clutches or aluminum flywheels allowed – even if stock
Roll cage will allow two front kickers no further forward than center of strut, and two rear kickers no further forward than center of struts
Skirts and half nose valance may be allowed - must maintain 4’ clearance
A cold air induction system is allowed, it must remain in engine compartment, or in stock air box (no forced air allowed.)
No part of the chassis can be lower than 4”
ALL STANDARD BUZZ RULES APPLY UNLESS SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED ABOVE
