Attention Fans, Supporters, and Drivers at Huntsville Speedway:
Due to the ongoing threat of inclement weather this afternoon and evening in our area, management has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s racing program.
With tonight being the first race at Huntsville for the Six Shot Showdown, the last thing we want is for drivers to travel a great distance to be with us, only to not be able to race. Heavy rain this afternoon and evening is expected to crossover the Speedway possibly creating a situation where the track may not be in adequate racing condition until late in the evening. We want the Six Shot Showdown to showcase all of the best drivers from Huntsville and Sayre, and we certainly don’t want bad weather to keep drivers away. With that said, the rain out date for tonight’s scheduled Six Shot Showdown event for the Open Wheel Modifieds is Saturday night, July 14. We look forward to welcoming our local and Sayre Open Wheel Modified drivers to Huntsville Speedway on that date.
Huntsville Speedway will return to action next Saturday night, May 12, 2018 with the Late Models and STAR SuperTrucks headlining an evening of racing action along with the Super Stock, Mini Modifieds, Hot Shot, and Buzz divisions. Pit gates will open at 2 PM, with practice starting at 3 PM. Grandstands will open at 4 PM, Qualifying at 6 PM, and Racing at 7 PM. This event will also be Grissom High School School Spirit Night so if you know a Grissom Tiger, invite them out to Huntsville Speedway next Saturday night!
We hope everyone has a restful weekend, and we will see you at the Speedway next Saturday night!
